You probably think like big deal, just a plate of some food.
But your friend, though, the only time he ate was at school.
But he too embarrassed to share it, so he play like its cool.
But inside he hurt his people ain’t raise him like you.

But it’s too late, now you gotta find a way out.
And now you gotta live that life that you was lying about.
So, now you strapped up for real.
Trapped out and tryna get your bag up for real.
Bills backed up for real.
You in the streets now, cause that’s what you always wanted.
And now you out here robbing, cause you really ain’t got nothing.
And now you really trapping people know you make it public.
There’s jealous people now that wonder what you making from it.
The most dangerous people are not dangerous people.
Its the people that tryna prove that they’re dangerous people.
People like you that won’t except us, but ain’t really evil.
People like you that can’t except and they hate they ain’t evil.
But congrats you a G now, dawg.

Everything you wanted is complete now, dawg.
Your homies think you really from the streets now, dawg.
Only problem is, where you’re living there’s consequences.
25 to life, your friend he got locked in prison.
Somebody snitched on him, so you thought you was next.
But they lied, said it was you, so you got shot in the neck.
It really ain’t no reason to get caught in the streets.
But some people I give a pass, cause that’s all that they see.
But not you, not you.
You chose that life, that life ain’t choose you.
Rap music, did that do it, or what was it that had you so influenced?
Rap music, did that do it, or what was it that had you so influenced?

The victim’s name of the shooting that took place yesterday on Prescott Avenue is indeed 23 year old Cody O’Brient.
From all the reports we are hearing, he was a great kid that came from a great home.
One can only wonder why something like this would happen to a kid like Cody.
